One of my biggest fears in being pregnant is the fact that everyone always wants to touch the preggo’s belly. I enjoy my personal space, I’m not a touchy-touchy person and I definitely don’t want someone rubbing the fattest part of my body. My only consolation was that most people would not embark on the belly-touching until I started to show. Oh, I was wrong. Last night at our Cares Event we had one of our residents (a male) who I don’t know too well come in and immediately come over and touch my tummy. I didn’t even know he knew we were pregnant and I almost karate kicked him in the head. Tyler saw the look on my face and informed me that he had told them we were pregnant. It was slightly reassuring that he wasn’t just randomly touching me, but it was still extremely weird. The moral of the story is- Just because someone is pregnant, it doesn’t mean that their stomach is public domain.
