morning sickness?

So, I’ve read that a man must have invented the term “morning sickness” because no one who has ever had morning sickness would call it that. In fact, I usually feel fine in the morning, then I think I’m safe and it kicks my butt somewhere around 9pm. Anyways, just thought I’d point that out.

Besides that, everything is going well…had the first doctor visit…they drained me of all of my blood and told me nothing. For some reason I thought it would be an exciting visit with sentimental moments and fanfare…not so much. I guess there will be more exciting visits somewhere along the way.

After a weekend with my best pal, Melissa (and her 21 hour labor stories), I got a little freaked out. Anyone who knows Melissa knows she is slightly dramatic and very descriptive. I got a full account of the intricacies of labor (only a best friend could tell you these things). I guess it’s worth it, because now she has a super cute little boy with chubby cheeks and a great smile. I think they should have her make videos for pregnant women to give it to them straight – you know, all the gory details. I’d watch them.
