We can bring Zander home from the hospital – YIPPEE!!!!

So today was a VERY exciting day…until now, we wouldn’t be able to bring the baby home from the hospital. One of the only requirements is a car seat and we hadn’t gotten one yet. Good news…we have a car seat! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Staton, Zander will be riding around safely in his new super cute car seat. We brought it home and practiced by putting a stuffed monkey in the seat. We think it’s probably much easier to put a stuffed animal in it than a wriggling little baby. However, we were able to successfully get the monkey in the seat without harming him, so that’s a good start. Thanks to mom and dad for the adorable (and more importantly safe) gift!

crazy karate baby

last night tyler and I went to see the movie “Ironman” at the cheap-o theatre and somewhere in the middle the baby started moving around like crazy. tyler put his hand over on my tummy and then Zander seriously karate chopped his hand. he kicked so hard I thought he was going to bust out. we started laughing so hard right in the middle of the movie…it was pretty amazing…he is getting so strong.

Well, for the first time I had a late night food craving. I was starving last night at almost midnight and nothing sounded good except pizza. Thank goodness my husband is wonderful and offered to go get me a frozen pizza. (of course he ate a few pieces himself) It sure did hit the spot. The baby must love pizza…

So, I’ve discovered a great baby website. Not because it has great tips or info or anything important like that, but because it has this photo gallery of women who are at the same point in their pregnancy as me. The comforting thing about this is that even though there is always someone skinnier, there is also always someone who is way (I mean waaayyy) bigger than me. I don’t know why this site comforts me so much, but I find myself scrolling through the pics looking for someone who makes me feel like I’m not a whale. It’s probably not the point of the gallery, but what can I say…it makes me happy.
I’ve included a few sample pics (i’ve removed their heads for anonymity). These women are both 17 weeks pregnant. I’ll add one of me soon…I can’t figure out how to get the darn pictures off of the camera.
